Agencies have more potential attackers than ever to consider, but oftentimes, the most potent dangers are the ones that come from within an organization. Insider threats have tried to infiltrate agencies for years, and because of their familiarity with software and systems, they can be difficult to stop.
Yet, agencies can introduce new technology programs, like a layered security approach, to help lock down their organizations and secure systems internally. This GLA course explores the traditional challenges and new solutions that agencies encounter when dealing with insider threats. These three lessons will explore why insider threats have troubled agencies, what a layered security approach can do, and how agencies can incorporate a layered security system.
