There is a wealth of data and information out there. Without a proper policy or strategy in place to manage all that information, agencies can become easily overwhelmed. That’s why it’s critical for agencies to understand what information governance is and why it’s important to the federal government.
By taking this course, you’ll be enrolled in five lessons about information governance and how to implement it. We will explore the challenges and goals of information governance in addition to ways to build your own governance strategy. We’ll also define terms such as “unstructured data,” and examine a case study that highlights how information governance transformed one state agency. Throughout this course, we’ll provide guidance on how you can get your agency up to speed on better managing, retaining, and even deleting your data.
Finally, to learn more about how technology can help agencies with their information governance strategy, we’ll also hear from expert Tim Ly, Sr. Systems Engineer at DLT.
