Welcome to the GovLoop Academy course on Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, where you will learn about what they are and how your agency can prevent and respond to them.
By taking this course, you will be enrolled in five lessons about DDoS attacks and how to prevent them. We will explore what DDoS attacks are, what an attack could mean for your agency, how to prepare for an attack and what to do when an attack occurs.
We’ll define terms such as “botnet” and “hacktivist,” and we’ll examine several case studies that highlight how government organizations are shoring up their systems against DDoS attacks. Throughout this course, we’ll provide guidance on how you can get your agency up to speed on protection, prevention and response.
