Now that we are fully into 2017 and facing long, dark winter days with few days off from work, leaders need to take a hard look at how to support and encourage team members. This is the time of year (especially for those who like sunlight) that people often drag themselves through the day.
Consider for a moment the folks you admire. The individuals you deem respectable. Do you ever wonder how they came to be an effective communicator or leader? Who helped them along the way? They might tell you the same thing. They had mentors.
Maybe true victory is not winning the race but just completing the course.
