Using open source software is not as scary as you think. You may have heard rumors that it is insecure or hard to maintain. When managed correctly, the rumors are far from the truth.
Real facts are at our fingertips, but so are internet hoaxes. It really is our job to ensure that the details we share with others and use to make our decisions are as accurate as possible.
Creative problem solving (CPS) is a method for creatively approaching a challenge to develop ideas and potential solutions to problems.
Internal barriers to innovation can arise, from a shortage of designated staff to provide oversight and monitoring of implementation, and also if a Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle isn’t utilized.
Whether you are creating the website with your own staff, or using an outside firm to do the work, they should be using best of breed tools and techniques that are not only intuitive but also allow changes as technology and users dictate.
If your work helps an executive move closer to realizing their vision, they will assign more value to you, and your work, and will request more assistance from you. This is also true if your work helps alleviate their pain.
