During these tumultuous times, government employees have been working around the clock to ensure that citizens are connected with the services they need. While this may be an unusual time, the dedication and commitment being displayed by govies is not at all unusual or unexpected—public servants are hard at work on behalf of the American people year in and year out.
Do you know a govie who has really demonstrated the values of public service and displayed an exceptional commitment to improving and invigorating government?
We have two exciting ways for you to make sure that they are recognized!
For Public Service Recognition Week (May 3-9, 2020) we’ve created a free e-card that can be sent to any government employee! We’re thrilled to honor and celebrate the men and women across the country who work in federal, state or local government.
All you need to do is fill out a short form and we’ll send an email to your recipient with the e-card. You can even include a personal message.
Want to do even more? Nominate a govie for a 2020 NextGen Public Service Award. Nominations are open through May 15, and all you have to do is submit a nomination with by answering questions about the nominee’s work in government.
Nominees must work in government, but can be nominated by anyone—there are five different categories you can nominate someone in (Courageous Champion; Silent Hero; NextGen Advocate; Innovator of the Year; Exemplary Leader), so take some time to think about your nominee’s accomplishments and the values they best represent.
During these trying times, it’s important that we look for the positive and remember that there are millions of hard-working public servants to be thankful for. Take a moment to recognize one today!
