Data is powerful. It can tell us more than we ever hoped to know about ourselves and the world around us. It’s also vital for solving today’s problems and predicting government’s future needs.
However, the true power of data is only unveiled when it is coupled with analytics. A 2014 Forrester Survey found that most private sector companies only analyze 12 percent of the data they have. That means that 88 percent of a company’s data is rendered virtually useless. Analytics gives data power to change that equation and provides the insights that can create solutions.
