Geico is dedicated to serving those who serve our nation, but did you know that they also honor them?
Federal employees better our country and make a difference every day, but rarely get the praise they deserve. In 1980, The GEICO Public Service Awards were established to emphasize GEICO’s belief that the contributions of many hardworking, talented federal employees and retirees are deserving of special acclaim.
This year, four active govies will receive a $2,500 cash award with an all expense paid trip to Washington DC to be honored at the GEICO PSA’s.
Each winner will be recognized for outstanding achievements in one of the following areas:
- Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Award
- Fire Prevention and Safety Award
- Physical Rehabilitation Award
- Traffic Safety and Accident Prevention Award
The PSA’s will be held on Monday May 2, 2011 at the National Geographic Museum in Washington, DC.
Pre and post receptions will take place as well as a special tour of the acclaimed America I Am: The African American Imprint exhibit.
Federal workers do so many amazing things, and the GEICO Public Service Awards are a great way to give them credit where credit is certainly due.
Here are some more details about the PSA’s.
